Niesha Taylor, Ph.D., is NACE’s first Director of Career Readiness, bringing extensive experience aligned with advancing NACE’s mission to foster equitable employment outcomes for all. Her career focuses on creating equitable and inclusive educational and industry experiences for students, supporting NACE's strategies, programs, and services. With a deep commitment to educational and labor market equity, Dr. Taylor earned her Master’s in Education from the New School for Social Research and later completed a Ph.D. in linguistics from the CUNY Graduate Center. She began her career teaching Spanish in NYC public high schools and transitioned into higher education, where she became an advocate for racial and social justice.

Dr. Taylor has held leadership roles in higher education and nonprofit sectors, including as Dean for Academic Innovation and Career Success at Guttman Community College and as Senior Director for Career Pathways at the New York Jobs CEO Council. Her work has focused on systems change, career education, and bridging the gap between higher education and industry. She has published on system change, equity in higher education, and innovative models for integrating career development into the curriculum.

Dr. Alan McAlpine is the Deputy Director of Student Success at Curtin University, Australia, where he oversees Careers and Employability, as well as a Social Impact Hub. With over 20 years of experience in the career development field, Alan has held various leadership roles, including Associate Director of Student Success at QUT and Careers and Employment Manager. He is the current National President of the National Association of Graduate Career Advisory Services (NAGCAS) and serves on the executive of the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA), also chairing the board of Graduate Careers Australia. His dedication to advancing career services has seen him participate in international initiatives, including the Global Career Services Summit.

Outside of his professional life, Alan has a passion for 70s rock music and enjoys playing guitar and singing in his non-performing band, The Geriatrics. Although his love for music doesn’t pay the bills, his long-standing commitment to student success and career development continues to impact students across Australia and beyond. Alan is excited to serve on the program organizing committee for the Global Career Services Summit for the third time, though he humorously notes he likely won’t bring his guitar along!

Martin Edmondson is the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of AGCAS, the membership organisation and professional body for university careers and employability professionals across the UK and Ireland. Prior to AGCAS Martin was founder and Managing Director of Gradcore, and has 20+ years’ experience working across graduate recruitment and Higher Education, His work has included leading global graduate schemes for employers, delivering employability performance improvement in universities, and working with local and national governments on graduate employment initiatives and policy. Martin served as a Director of the Institute for Student Employers, and is a Fellow of the National Institute of Career Education and Counselling, and the RSA.

Adam Powell (Moderator) is the Director of Client Success for the UK, Europe and South Africa. He is responsible for supporting university clients by enhancing their student experience and career development journeys through Symplicity CareerHub and Symplicity UniHub. By understanding and aligning to clients’ strategic priorities, he helps careers, employability and student support professionals improve their productivity and deliver greater impact. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen and a Postgraduate Diploma from City University, London. Currently located in Bath, England, Adam brings ten years of experience working in higher education as Head of Careers and Employability at Bath Spa University (2005 – 2014) and a further seven years in education and skills policy. This included roles as Director of Skills at the West of England Combined Authority and Local Enterprise Partnership (2014-2018) and as Business Development and Skills Consultant (2018-2021) securing $1.3m to establish a regional apprenticeship service and talent retention programme.

Adam has a passion for music and has toured as a percussionist extensively across the UK, Europe, North America and Asia. Highlights include playing off Broadway, recording at Abbey Road Studios in London and recently performing under the wings of the iconic Concorde supersonic aircraft.
