Symplicity today announced it has acquired Experience, a ConnectEDU company that delivers career services software. Established in 1996, Experience has helped to guide more than 5 million students and alumni nationwide into the workforce by matching their interests, skill sets and core competencies with available positions. More than 130,000 employers use the Experience network to recruit their top talent as well.

The acquisition of Experience comes following ConnectEDU’s filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection earlier this year. By making this purchase, Symplicity is helping ensure that the millions of students who rely on Experience will continue to have access to this important service, now and into the future.

With the integration of Experience, Symplicity bolsters its unique suite of enterprise software-as-a-service solutions for student affairs and student services offices. Some of the most notable offerings include Accommodate, an end-to-end solution for approval and delivery of accessibility services; Advocate, a platform for student behavioral and grievance management; Ascend, a CRM platform for admissions offices; and Career Services Manager, the company’s market-leading career services management system.

“We are excited to bring onboard the valuable expertise of the Experience team, reinforcing our leadership in providing the most complete set of solutions to our higher education customers,” said Bill Gerety, CEO of Symplicity. “This acquisition will not only enhance our current offering in the CSM space, it will also ensure students, schools and employers will be able to continue uninterrupted services, while also experiencing industry-leading customer service and a customer-focused business model that is attuned to their needs.”
