Coronavirus (COVID-19) and CSM
With the rise of concern regarding Coronavirus, Symplicity has been monitoring the situation carefully. Several colleges and universities recently suspended in-person classes and moved their classes online. If your institution decides to do the same, there are many ways that you can use CSM to continue to provide students and employers with valuable resources on a virtual basis.
By configuring a few simple steps, your CSM site may be used to support many virtual career activities including:
- Announcements & User Messages – Staff may create announcements and user email messages to notify students and employers of changes to recruiting programs.
- Counseling – Students may schedule appointments online, and staff can meet with students remotely by including a virtual meeting link to the appointment, using software such as GoToMeeting, Zoom, or Skype.
- Resumes – Students may submit resumes online, and staff can continue to review resumes and provide feedback online.
- Mock Interviews – Students may record mock interviews online, and staff can continue to review and provide feedback on mock interview recordings online.
- Jobs – Employers may post jobs, students can apply for jobs, and employers can review job applications online.
- OCR – Staff may set up virtual interviews and use resume collects in lieu of traditional face to face interviews.
- Workshops – Staff may create workshop events and add a virtual meeting link to each workshop description, using software such as GoToMeeting, Zoom, or Skype.
- Information Sessions - Staff and Contacts may create info session events and add a virtual meeting link to each info session description, using software such as GoToMeeting, Zoom, or Skype.
- Career Fairs – Staff may create Virtual Career Fairs. For specific instructions on how to convert In-person career fairs to Virtual Fairs, visit the Symplicity Help Center.
