A new website, a new blog, and a new name…it’s exciting times for Community! We’re happy to have you with us for our first Community blog post. To get everyone up to speed; in April of 2010, Symplicity announced a major update to our Student Groups Management System (SGMS). The update transformed our former SGMS into a more powerful, incredibly efficient system. Such monumental changes warranted a new name. Meet Community.
Community offers a full array of student group management tools (including those that clients loved from the former SGMS system), and features a fully redesigned student interface. The new student interface offers highly intuitive controls and group features. It also provides an activity feed and quick links to public and group events. A really neat aspect of Community is that it can be branded for each individual school. We enjoy seeing all the unique school color schemes, logos, headers/footers, and even the custom terminology throughout system. If you haven’t transitioned to Community yet, we hope to see your school colors soon! Feel free to post your questions and comments below.
